What We Believe

God's Word, the Bible, is inspired.  God, moving holy men to write, made sure that His revelation about Himself was recorded without error in the original documents.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17  2 Peter 1:20-21)

God is alive.  He has always existed. He is the Designer and Creator of the universe. No one equals Him in power, authority, or knowledge. He is a Person Who cares about the people He has made. He is holy and always does what is just and right. He loves each one of us, and rightly expects us to lovingly obey Him.
(Genesis 1:1-31  Isaiah 44:6-8  Romans 3:25-26  Colossians 1:13-17  Revelation 1:17-18)

Jesus Christ is God.  He has always existed, but became man by a miraculous birth, and lived on earth, perfectly without sin, to show us what God is like. He healed the sick and handicapped. He comforted those who were sad, fed the hungry, brought dead people back to life, and rebuked hypocrisy and greed.
(John 1:1-2, 14  Luke 1:35  Colossians 1:13-15)

Jesus died for all people.  He voluntarily accepted the punishment for sin that we deserve for disobeying God and failing to honor Him. Three days after His death, Jesus lived again! Many witnesses saw and talked with Him. Six weeks later He went back to heaven where He lives today as Lord and Saviour.
(1 Corinthians 15:3-8  1 Peter 1:18-19  Luke 24:39  1 Peter 1:3-5  Acts 1:9-11)

We can be forgiven of all our sin, and instead of experiencing God’s punishment, live joyfully with Him forever. We must admit that we have sinned, that we have dishonored God, and so change our minds about the way we have lived and place our entire confidence in Jesus Christ as the One Who laid down His life for us.
(Romans 3:23  John 3:16  1 Timothy 2:4  1 John 2:2  Ephesians 2:8-9)

Those who commit themselves to Jesus Christ become members of God’s family. We are motivated to live clean and honest lives by an appreciation of Christ’s love for us. The Holy Spirit directs us and gives us the ability to live this new kind of life.
(Romans 1:5, 8:38-39  John 10:27-30, 16:8-15  1 Corinthians 2:9-10)

Jesus Christ is coming back again for His followers. Ultimately, all men will be raised from the dead. Depending on their response to Christ in this life, people will either experience painful exclusion from God, in hell, or everlasting life with God.
(1 Corinthians 15:51-52  Philippians 3:20-21  Revelation 20:11-15)
